Tasks
Chores use the same household work system as Tasks, while keeping the child experience separate from ordinary adult Task lists.

Chores, pay, breaks, and a household view made for them. HearthStack Kids helps adults bring the whole routine together, with control over what each child can see.

The adult overview
See what’s done, what’s left, and what they’ve earned. Each child’s overview brings chores, pay, Time Off, and access together, with Kid View a step away. It’s more than a chore chart: it’s their part of household life, in the same place as yours.
Start with an adult-managed child profile. Make it theirs with a character, photo, or initials. They don’t need a login for you to manage their routine or open supervised Kid View.
Kid View
Give them a view that focuses on what matters to them: today’s chores, what they’ve earned, their pay day, and their next break. Clear things to do, without the adult management screens around them.
Open Kid View from their profile for parent-supervised use. You stay signed in and in control, and can exit back to your own view. It’s a focused child experience, not unrestricted access to the adult app or a device lock.
Child sign-in is optional and separately configured. Adults choose what household information is shared.
Chores and routines
Add a one-time job or a repeating routine. Make work daily, choose particular days, or give a weekly chore a due day—or room to get it done anytime that week.
Keep the same weekly work or choose different chores each week. Children can mark their work done; when you choose parent approval, it waits for your review before it counts as complete.
Room for real life
With Pay by chore, choose which jobs earn money and what each is worth. Not every chore needs a price.
Pay, without the guesswork
Choose Weekly salary or Pay by chore, then set the payment frequency and pay day. See the earned amount for the period, what’s ready to pay, and the history of payments you’ve recorded.
Record a payment made in cash or another way. If you want to record it in HearthStack Money, explicitly choose the Money source and destination when recording the payment.
HearthStack records payments. It does not send money.
Time Off
See available time-off days and give them a whole-day break from eligible chores, or one chore off through Chore Draw. Upcoming breaks stay visible, so everyone can see what’s planned.
Plan a special day for your household. Birthday, holiday, and custom special-day rules are choices you explicitly set up—not assumptions the app makes for you. Saving a birthday alone doesn’t create a break.
A routine can be steady
and still leave room for a day off.
Chore Draw
Grant a Chore Draw, and your child draws from eligible current chores. The result excuses one chore from the current work—not its repeating routine.
It’s a break from a chore. Not a punishment game, random extra work, or an automatic daily reward loop. You decide when to give it.
Part of the household
Kids is a natural part of HearthStack, with clear boundaries around the work, money, and decisions children can see.
Chores use the same household work system as Tasks, while keeping the child experience separate from ordinary adult Task lists.
Explore TasksAdults can optionally record pay in Money. Children can see explicitly shared balances, without access to transactions or the ability to change Money records.
Explore MoneyChildren can participate only when explicitly included and allowed access. That’s separate from supervised Kid View, which does not include HearthSignal.
Explore HearthSignalHousehold
Free includes the core HearthStack toolkit: Money, Shopping, Tasks, and HearthSignal. Household builds on that foundation with higher limits and Kids for chores, pay, Time Off, and Kid View.
